Five Easy Ways To Lower Air Pollution And Carbon Footprint

Lowering air pollution and carbon footprint are big deals, and it is not always the easiest thing to do… or is it? Some cities and some states are a lot worse then others. The more populated cities and states such as New York, California, San Diego, Philadelphia, Miami, and even New Jersey get a lot of bad air pollution, and there is a lot you can do to reduce it.
One way is to plant more trees, planting more trees and even bushes will let the air pretty much recycle, in the act of photosynthesis. One huge way to reduce carbon footprint is by making everything more energy efficient. Updating your common house hold appliances that consume a decent amount of energy — Dishwasher, fridge, washer, drier, heaters, and air conditioners. The old ones from 10 years ago are nothing like the new ones in this day and age.
Another way to reduce air pollution is by carpooling, riding the bus, walking, riding bikes, even taking a train somewhere. The less cars on the streets the less fumes and air pollutants are roaming in the air and making it dirty and more polluted then it needs to be. By turning down your thermostat by one degree centigrade could save a typical home about about 71 dollars a year. It may not seem like much, but over time it accumulates and grows, and makes a huge difference in the amount of carbon footprint around.
A 5th way to reduce air pollution is by not spraying toxins, such as hairspray and pesticides. You can easily go to the local store and by a nontoxic version, for most likely close to the same price, and that alone will significantly reduce the amount of air pollutants in the air. Doing these 5 actions will help the world anywhere you are, no matter how big or small the amount you do them.
